Hypebeast Magazine Issue 1

On June 30, Hong Kong based culture website Hypebeast has dropped the inaugural issue of the Hypebeast Magazine – available now at select stockists worldwide. The first issue is 200 pages in length and is centered around the theme of “synthesis”. The issue features a cover story focussing on Kris van Assche, the Artistic Director of Dior Homme and founder of his own design house. There are also features interviews and articles with and about a number of artists, musicians, and creative people. In their words, they created a magazine “where the essence of renowned fashion designers was captured through in-depth interviews and editorial shoots”. Th include the China-based artist, Cai Guo-Qiang; Managing Director for Vitsoe, Mark Adams; Stussy Founder, Shawn Stussy; Creative Director of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Phillip Lim; and professional skateboarder Jason Dill. The magazine will be released on a quarterly basis, retailing at $12 on the Hypebeast Store and select stockists worldwide including Vancouver’s Inventory Stockroom, Haven and Roden Gray.
